While working at LSU’s Office of Student Media, I created advertisements for both in-house and external clients. Running in the campus newspaper (“The Daily Reveille”), on its website (www.lsureveille.com), and on campus transit buses.
A frequent advertiser, East Baton Rouge Parish Library, requested a Lichtenstein-inspired ad to highlight its many services other than loaning books. Using pop-art as a reference, I created each element of the image so that it would be easier to resize the ad for the various media outlets. This particular ad was designed for buses, but was later transformed into an entire comprehensive campaign, print and online.
KLSU, LSU’s campus radio station, broadcasts throughout the Baton Rouge area. As an in-house client, I had more latitude in creating a concept for their bi-annual fundraiser. I wanted an eye-popping, eclectic (newspaper and online .gif) ad campaign to accurately portray the fun nature of the KLSU radio station and the importance of donating to keep the station on the air.
In this design for a new client showed how we could appeal to the college audience, drawing attention to the restaurant's beer selection, one of its lesser-known features.
