Baton Rouge Gallery

As a senior project, our three-member team designed an entirely new brand for a local contemporary art gallery and co-op. For the logo we used geometric shapes and primary printing colors(cyan, magenta, yellow, black) to suggest playfulness and simplicity and to provide versatility for a wide range of social events. The result was sufficiently sophisticated to use for fund raising efforts and approachable enough to appeal to groups of schoolchildren. The entire rebranding effort provided a business package, website, new membership application forms, membership cards, promotional postcards, signage, as well as apparel and buttons. The gallery embraced our design concepts, employing them in all subsequent business promotions, expanding their promotional efforts to include a national magazine. The gallery also continues to use the logo I designed for their “Movies and Music on the Lawn” annual silent movie series. Upon request, the functional users’ manual we created for them to implement our design plan is available for your review.
